The Strategic Diversity & Compliance Toolkit is a unique resource designed to equip hiring managers, recruiters and faculty leaders with the resources and decision support tools to build diversity and inclusion objectives into recruitment and talent pipeline development plans. By consolidating a comprehensive suite of information and resources into one site, the toolkit provides guidance and support in an easy-to-use, web-based format.
Related Institutional Standards:
Goal 1.1: Attract and retain outstanding people who are committed to our goals and core values. We will empower faculty and staff of diverse backgrounds.
Diversity Strategic Plan:
Goal 1: Develop and sustain an internal and external pipeline of outstanding students, faculty, administrators and staff from underrepresented cultural backgrounds.
These efforts are coordinated by the UTMB Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI), a division of Human Resources. The office is charged with advancing the institution as the educator, employer and provider of choice by promoting an inclusive environment that actively values diversity among students, faculty, staff, patients and the broader community.
Established in 2012, the mission of the Office is to integrate inclusion and excellence into the core aspects of the institution's mission work through thought leadership, consulting, and service delivery. To that end, the Office has developed an overarching strategy to accomplish the institution's commitment to diversity.
