Heat Impacts
This level of heat will mainly impact sensitive groups during the work week.
This weekend & early next week, rising heat levels will pose a greater risk to all individuals. Health systems & heat sensitive industries are likely to see impacts as well.
Stay hydrated, wear lightweight clothing and take breaks indoors when possible.
A plume of Saharan dust is currently moving eastward towards the Gulf of America.
This dust plume should reach southeast Texas during the later half of the work week.
Hazy conditions, white-tinted skies and reduced air quality can be expected as the dust plume passes.
