2016 Hurricane Prep Made Simple:
A Meeting for the UTMB Community

June 1 brings the start of hurricane season, and preparation is the key to successfully weathering any storm. On Wednesday, April 27, 2016, UTMB presented a one-hour overview of UTMB’s emergency plans and annual hurricane preparedness activities. The meeting, led by Vice President and Chief Medical Officer Selwyn O. Rogers, was webcast live throughout the UTMB Health system. The session offered participants a chance to learn more about how decisions are made when a storm enters the Gulf, the outlook for the 2016 season, your responsibilities as an individual student or employee, and how the university will communicate with you before, during and after a storm. The Institutional Emergency Preparedness Officer, Information Services, Human Resources, UTMB Police, Marketing and Communications, and others participated.
