You must submit official transcripts to the Office of Enrollment Services for the final processing of your application data. Please note that it is mandatory that official transcripts be sent electronically via SPEEDE or other electronic means if your school has this capability. For a listing of these participating schools, click here. If your institution does not send transcripts electronically, we will accept a hardcopy transcript as official if mailed by the institution directly to UTMB Office of Enrollment Services, 301 University Boulevard, Galveston, Texas 77555-1305.

Application deadlines and application packet requirements are available on each of the School’s Websites.

Applicants to Undergraduate programs at UTMB must be Texas Success Initiative (TSI) compliant prior to enrollment at UTMB. Questions regarding TSI may be directed to Enrollment Services.

Applicants to Undergraduate programs who have not satisfied CORE curriculum at another Texas educational institution, must satisfy UTMB CORE Curriculum requirements before a baccalaureate degree is conferred.

GRE Institution Codes

UTMB's institution code for GRE scores is 6887 for those academic plans that require the GRE, with the exception of Public Health (use GRE Code 7012), Entry Level Doctor of Physical Therapy (use GRE Code 3775), and Physician Assistant Studies (use GRE Code 0437). The codes are different for these two plans only because the scores must be sent directly to their respective application services (visit our SHP page for further information). Please note that if you are applying for admission into either the Post Professional DPT or PTA/DPT Bridge plans, you should use 6887 (not 3775).

  • Public Health - use GRE Code 7012 (to have scores sent directly to SOPHAS)
  • Entry Level Doctor of Physical Therapy (also known as traditional PT-PD) - use GRE Code 3775 (to have scores sent directly to PTCAS)
  • Physician Assistant Studies - use GRE Code 0437 (to have scores sent directly to CASPA)
  • All others - use GRE Code 6887
