The Texas Medical Board (TMB) has announced an important update that will affect all TMB licensees beginning Sept. 1, 2026. Under new state requirements, all continuing education (CE) must be tracked and verified through CE Broker.

The Office of the Provost was honored to host Prof. Anthony Hollander, BSc, PhD, Pro‑Vice‑Chancellor for Research & Impact and Professor of Stem Cell Biology at the University of Liverpool, for the "Visionaries in Science and Scholarship" lecture Feb. 26.

The Office of Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) partners with faculty, departments, and program leaders to accredit continuing education that improves practice and patient outcomes through collaborative learning. We support a wide range of educational activities, with a strong emphasis on interprofessional continuing education that brings multiple professions together to learn from and with one another.

UTMB has received Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education, placing us among a select group of organizations that meet the highest standards for team-based education.

We enjoyed a terrific New Faculty Orientation on Oct. 23. New and established faculty alike came together to meet colleagues and leaders, and learn more about UTMB.
