Dear colleagues,
The Office of Faculty Affairs has welcomed new faculty affairs leaders to complete our team over the past several months, ensuring we are well equipped to meet our faculty members’ needs. With our full team in place, we are eager to offer even more programs and initiatives that will support your career development and success.
Under the leadership of Dr. Kimberly Skarupski, our office’s first leadership development offerings are now on the calendar. We are very excited to officially launch these amazing programs, and we know you will find tremendous value in these opportunities.
We are looking forward to three signature programs taking place in 2025: the Executive Leadership Series for Department Chairs, the Faculty Leadership Collaborative Early-Career Bootcamp, and the Faculty Leadership Collaborative Mid-Career Bootcamp.
Registration is for the Early-Career Bootcamp in January is now open; please read more about it in this newsletter, and sign up or spread the word to anyone you know who may benefit. This is an outstanding offering that brings together talent from top academic medical centers across the country, and those who enroll are certain to gain a wealth of knowledge to benefit their careers. While the opportunity is open to individuals across the globe, we hope that many from UTMB will take part.
Information on the Mid-Career Bootcamp, scheduled for April, will be available in the coming months; please keep an eye out for details. We also look forward to sharing more information on our mentoring programs, under the leadership of our newest addition, Dr. Amanda Persons, and other opportunities that will enrich your experience as a faculty member at UTMB. Thank you for your support and engagement thus far. We are thrilled to see the positive response to our work and hope to have an even greater impact as our new programs take shape.
Sincerely,
Susan Chubinskaya, PhD, MS, FIOR
