Dear colleagues,
Happy New Year from the Office of Faculty Affairs! I hope the holiday season brought you time and experiences that left your hearts full, and your bodies and minds rested. All of our professional responsibilities keep us busy throughout the year; any time we find to relax and be with our loved ones is certainly to be cherished.
The beginning of a new year is traditionally a time when we commit to new goals, find renewed energy and purpose around our work, and explore opportunities for growth and development. I am excited that the Office of Faculty Affairs can contribute to your success throughout 2025. I highly encourage you to stay engaged with our events and programs, as there will be opportunities to benefit faculty at all stages of their careers.
Faculty Leadership Collaborative: Early-Career Bootcamp, Jan. 14 to 16, is almost here. This is the first of our signature leadership programs, and we are thrilled to welcome more than 50 registered faculty members, including some international participants. Registration closes tomorrow, Jan. 3; please use this link to sign up as soon as possible.
Mid-Career Bootcamp registration opens Jan. 9; more details are included in this edition. We will share details for Late-Career Bootcamp in the coming months. I am looking forward to these and many more opportunities that will help faculty thrive this year and beyond.
Please also plan to participate in the AAMC Standpoint Faculty and Staff Engagement Survey that will begin Jan. 28. You will receive additional information on a weekly basis leading up to the survey launch date. We are looking forward to your responses so we may have a better idea of faculty and staff needs across the institution.
I extend my warmest wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year for all!
Sincerely,
Susan Chubinskaya, PhD, MS, FIOR
Vice President and Executive Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs
