UTMB Brazoria County Indigent Care Clinics

UTMB Brazoria County Indigent Care Clinics provide health care to the underserved population of Brazoria County. These nurse practitioner managed clinics are housed in the Brazoria County Health Department Buildings in Alvin and Angleton, Texas. Many of these clients have multiple complex medical and health issues due to poor accessibility to a health care provider. The patient must enroll in the Brazoria County Indigent Care Program and go through an approval process mandated by Brazoria County. Length of enrollment is every 6 months and the patient is required to re-enroll in order to stay on the program. The primary care provider will provide physical exams, health screening including maintenance and management of chronic health conditions. Referrals to UTMB specialists are on a case to case basis determined by the primary care provider. Kathleen Nader RN MSN ANP-BC, GNP, Clinical Assistant Professor SON serves as the primary care provider.
