Annual Sports Physicals for Young Athletes

Over the last month our UTMB Health Family Medicine & Community Health residents have been busy providing sports physicals to area young athletes.  Our residents were attended by faculty physicians Namita Bhardwaj, MD, MS, MPH, CAQSM, FAAFP.  Over the course of 5 separate days our residents saw 620 student athletes for their annual sports physicals ahead of the upcoming school year's training season.  This is a valuable service to the community and often the only time any of these students get health care.  Both the trainers and community are grateful for the service we provide.  Our residents on hand were:
