A Personal Note from Dr. KHAN

I was born in India and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. I attended Loyola University, Chicago for my undergraduate education. I moved to Galveston, Texas in 2014 after getting married, and went on to complete my medical education at UTMB School of Medicine.

Upon entering medical school, I knew I wanted to practice in primary care. After exploring all my options, I decided on family medicine, I wanted a career where I was given the unique opportunity to care for patients from birth to old age. The chance to build long-term relationships with my patients is what specifically drew me to family medicine.

“To give anything less than your best, is to sacrifice the gift,” is a piece of advice I received in high school and it has shaped my life since. I aim to always give 100% in all that I do and promise to try and go above and beyond for every patient.

My personal interests include preventative health and integrative medicine. I will strive to ensure all my patients are up-to-date on their health maintenance, and hope to implement integrative practices for patients interested in an alternative, natural approach.

I am incredibly grateful to be given the privilege and opportunity to serve the Galveston community and am looking forward to furthering my residency training here at UTMB.
