Resident Physician

Dr. Okonkwo joined the Department of Family Medicine in 2021. She is a resident physician in training at the Family Medicine Clinic – Island East. Dr. Okonkwo earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Prairie View A&M and her Doctorate of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine 

Dr. Okonkwo is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Dr. Okonkwo's academic and clinical interests include health policy & advocacy and Global Health.
