Moody Medical Library
Housed in a modern, five-story building at the heart of the UTMB campus, the Moody Medical Library is the oldest medical library in Texas and one of the largest medical research libraries in the Southwest. Collections include 248,138 print volumes; 2,782 current serial subscriptions; and 130,008 monograph volumes.
UTMB is at the forefront of the information revolution, with a campus-wide computer network and access to Gopher and the World Wide Web available through the library and departmental sites. Also, various sites across campus provide students access to national and international databases for toxicological data, DNA and protein sequences, numerous biomedical and educational literature, among others.
UTMB Alumni Field House
The Alumni Field House features a variety of indoor and outdoor facilities, including tennis courts, baseball and soccer fields, indoor basketball and volleyball and racquetball courts. They also have Cybex and Paramount weight-training equipment, a free-weight room, aerobics room, a variety of cardio equipment including step mills, arc trainers, treadmills, and bikes. The Alumni Field House also has separate steam rooms, a Jacuzzi, an outdoor track, and a Jr.-Olympic-size swimming pool which is heated in the winter and chilled in the summer.
All students have membership through their activity fees. Student families can join for a fee of $225 per school year. Alumni and their family are eligible to join at the employee rate. For more information contact the Field House front desk at (409) 772-1304.
