Dr. Jacqueline Meyer has been named one of the Top 25 Texas Nurses for 2025 by the Texas Nurses' Association. Meyer is a nursing program manager specializing in evidence-based practice at UTMB.
The annual award recognizes the contributions of nurses who “create a culture of care, support healing, health and wellness; innovate improvements; and contribute to their communities," according to TNA.
Nominations are made by the nominees' peers, community members, friends, family or employers.The TNA awards committee vetted more than 195 submissions, and the TNA board of directors approved the committee's recommendations.

Chacin, Medical Prototyping Lab Lead, NSI."Her extensive knowledge and experience in research and her kind and generous disposition to collaborate and support all nurses, students and providers at UTMB is invaluable.

Her dedication to evidence-based practice, academic rigor, attention to detail and willingness to do the hard work make her an incredible research colleague and asset to our institution," Chacin said. When things are rough at work, Jackie is so incredibly supportive. She has always shown me humanity, empathy and conviviality in times of uncertainty and change when I needed it most.
