Celebrate Women’s History Month: March 1–31

Feb 26, 2021, 17:24 PM by Alexa Akim

Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture and society. March is the special time of year where the immeasurable impact women have made on society is commemorated. Women's history does not rewrite history, but it does add different perspectives about what is historically significant. A dedicated month to reflect on the often-overlooked contributions of women and to give extra attention to all of the amazing accomplishments of strong, determined women. Learning about women who have stood up for their rights and fought for what they believe is fantastic motivation. We all have the power to influence the direction our world is headed in, and Women’s History Month reminds us of that. Every woman has a story to tell and gifts to share with the world.

Please join UTMB and the Women’s Resource Group (WRG) as we honor the achievements and contributions of women in U.S. history and at our university with the following virtual events and activities.
