Dr. Salles will lead an evidence-based discussion of factors affecting womxn's careers in medicine. Topics include a review of who is selected for awards, who is selected to speak at conferences, how men and women's work is evaluated differently, how COVID has impacted womxn, and some potential solutions to counter these disparities.

Ambivalence as strategy and strength in pandemic times -- Review and discuss a short (500 word) piece that we are developing for the IJFAB call for reflections on the current pandemic. This piece, and this publication, is one possible site for a longer conversation we have sustained on the role of ambivalence in addressing whiteness within history and care-work and the intersections thereof.
