The UTMB Health Institute for the Medical Humanities would like to congratulate graduate student Susan McCammon, MD on earning board certification in hospice and palliative medicine from the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. McCammon thanked the many people in the Institute who were "instrumental in [her] growth in this area". Dr. McCammon is an Assistant Professor in the UTMB Health Department of Otolaryngology, where she also serves as Director of the Residency Program and Co-Director of the Center for Cancers of the Head and Neck.
Dr. McCammon is a graduate student in the Medical Humanities, and is currently preparing for the qualifying examinations as she seeks a doctorate.
