The UTMB Health Institute for the Medical Humanities is pleased to share that Poldi Tschirch, RN, PhD (IMH `92) was named one of the top ten area nurses for dedicated care as part of The Houston Chronicle's annual Salute to Nurses Awards. Dr. Tschirch was honored at a luncheon on May 8, 2014.
The Salute to Nurses is an annual event sponsored by the Houston Chronicle and other local partners to celebrate National Nurses Week. Nominations for awards are solicited from the public, and the nominees are reviewed and voted on by a blue ribbon panel.
Dr. Tschirch is currently serving as Professor and Dean of the School of Nursing at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX.
