Dr. Mariam Mufti is board certified in Family Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. She is a graduate of Ross University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine in New Brunswick, NJ and her fellowship at the University of Florida in Gainesville. With her interests in delirium and dementia she facilitated in expanding the Geriatric Consult Service at Shands Hospital for which she served as Chief, collaborated with a Hospital wide Delirium Task Force and participated in national research. Her career in Geriatric medicine has now led her to UTMB where she is an assistance professor of Geriatric Medicine and serves as attending faculty on the ACE (Acute Care for the Elders) Unit, Geriatric Consults and Geriatric Clinic service.
