Katherine (Katie) McConnell was born and raised in Galveston by her two UTMB proud parents; Susan McConnell, RNC nurse educator, and Robert (Mac) McConnell, Director of Ob Gyn grant publications. Katie received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Education in Administration. She has worked in a variety of professional fields such as classroom teacher, educational curriculum liaison, technology coordinator, and project management positions. Katie lives on the island with her wife and almost two-year-old son. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends at the beach or poolside, all while intentionally limiting her trips across the causeway towards the mainland. She is looking forward to her new position as a Business Manager and is excited to finally join the UTMB family.
