HR Recruitment Services Restructures Business Model

To help improve the employee recruitment and retention process at UTMB Health, Recruitment Services has restructured its business model.

This restructure was necessary to ensure the department maintains the appropriately skilled, professional personnel required to meet the needs of our clients and the institution.

As part of the new model, the department has aligned its Recruiters by business area.
Business Area
Administrative and Professional:
Chris Spalding
Institutional Support:
Audrey Travis
Marsha Brookover
Hospital and Clinics:
Lisa Devereaux
Bree Akingbola
Linda Padierna
We have also modified the department’s structure to include a new Sourcer role. This role will creatively mine social media, networking sites, user groups and passive candidates to identify talent communities and pipelines of candidates to present for current and future positions.
I am confident the restructure will result in collaborative working relationships that will enable us to compete for and retain the talent and expertise necessary to carry out our mission as a leader in health sciences education, research and patient care.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we complete the transition to the new model. Please contact Teresa Nangle, Director of Talent Acquisition and Retention, at (409) 747-4867 or tlnangle@utmb.edu if you have any questions or would like additional information.
