Random urine.  Plain tube or plastic container with tight-fitting lid

Storage/Transport:

 Delivered to Sample Management within 2 hours of collection.

Specimen Preparation:

Specimen should be refrigerated within 2 hours of collection.

Stability:

 

Refrigerated ≤24 hours.

Causes for Rejection:

Specimen collected in container with preservative, incomplete and/or incorrect sample identification, improper storage/transport.
