Random urine in plastic urine container with no additives.  Supervised collection required if chain of custody collection requested.

Minimum Volume:

3 mL of urine

Storage/Transport:

Delivered to Sample Management within 1 hours of collection.

Specimen Preparation:

Refrigerate specimen within 1 hour of collection.

Stability:

Refrigerated for ≤ 7 days.

Causes for Rejection:

Specimen collected in container with a preservative, incomplete and/or incorrect sample identification, and improper storage/transport.
