| Collection: | Cleaning of puncture site should be performed with a non-alcoholic solution. Arterial, venous, or capillary whole blood properly collected in a closed system is the preferred specimen. Collect: Serum separator tube (SST) (Preferred), Plasma separator tube (PST) or red stopped vacutainer tube.

| Storage/Transport: | Immediately deliver unopened tube to Sample Management. Do not open tube. |
| Specimen Preparation: | Centrifuge specimen within 2 hours of collection. Do not open tube |
