Urinary tract infections caused by yeast

Patient Preparation :

Patient is given instructions with the urine collection kit to collect a clean-catch, mid-stream urine sample. Other sample types are colelcted by nursing staff.

Note:

A KOH prep is not routinely performed on these specimen types due to low sensitivity
