Goals & Objectives
 This program will provide preclinical students the unique opportunity to gain exposure to the full spectrum of cardiovascular disease diagnosis and management, including advanced testing and intervention.

Description of course activities
 This comprehensive rotation will include exposure to inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular disease management and diagnosis, electrocardiography (EKG), cardiac catheterization and intervention, nuclear cardiology, transthoracic echocardiography (TTE), transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), and vascular ultrasound. Students will directly work with a faculty preceptor for the duration of the rotation, with sites in both the clinic and hospital settings. Students will also gain exposure to workflow in the echocardiography lab, vascular lab, nuclear medicine lab, and cardiac catheterization lab. Additionally, there are potential research opportunities for interested students. Site of preceptorship will be at UTMB League City or Clear Lake campus: 8AM-12PM and 1PM-5PM.
