The occupational therapy and physical therapy departments at the UTMB School of Health Professions will hold two, week-long clinics this summer providing free therapy for people with neurological disease and injury, including but not limited to stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease. In addition, the physical therapy department in the UTMB School of Health Professions is offering a musculoskeletal clinic the weeks of June 24-28 and July 8-12. The clinic is for patients who have problems with spine, arm or leg pain as well as problems of muscle weakness or poor balance. The clinic includes supervised sessions working with physical therapy faculty and students and each participant will be able to attend two physical therapy visits during each clinic week. Participants will need a physical therapy referral by a medical professional to participate.
