Overview:

Lorraine Terrell Davis serves as the Training Specialist II and faculty liaison for the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) collaborative non-clinical and clinical educational training programs. She oversees continuing education (CE) certification efforts to ensure program compliance aligned to medical, nursing, veterinary, and additional professional groups. Also, Ms. Davis is responsible for faculty outreach, training program coordination, and program academic partnerships.

Ms. Davis’ previous experience included conference coordinating for the UTMB Office of Continuing Education. With over 12 years of experience, Ms. Davis facilitated continuing medical education certification for hundreds of educational courses sponsored by UTMB, outside universities, organizations, and societies. She worked closely with course directors and faculty to develop educational courses aimed at increasing physician knowledge and performance to assist with improving patient outcomes.

In the past, Ms. Davis served as a non-profit executive director for more than 17 years. In this role, she managed day-to-day operations, program development, human resource management, development of paid and volunteer staff, marketing, community outreach, board of directors development, and organizational growth. Her exemplary community involvement and leadership was recognized by the United Way, local government, and other community organizations.

In addition, Ms. Davis is a skilled project and event planner that prides herself in providing exceptional customer service.
