Overview:
Ms. Tasha Ri'card-Washington, is responsible for developing, performing, and managing all quality assurance related activities such as; daily oversight of QA personnel, developing inspection/review plans and independently managing and conducting internal and external inspections to assess compliance to FDA regulations and other guidelines as applicable for studies under the direction of UTMB-Galveston Office of Regulated Nonclinical Studies, Regulatory Operations. She act as an internal liaison for GLP regulations, identifies and resolves GLP issues, and provides guidance to laboratories developing quality systems based on GLP regulations. To achieve effectiveness and compliance Ms. Ri’card-Washington has designed and facilitated customized training courses to assist the UTMB community in interpreting and implementing a quality system in prospective areas based on the GLPs regulations established by the Food and Drug Administration and industry standards. Her training sections are paramount to the goals of conducting GLP research in a continuous improved quality and compliance practice program.
Ms. Ri’card-Washington has over twelve years’ experience in quality assurance with an emphasis in the areas of GLP and Quality System Regulations from governmental, private, and university compliance environments. She is a current member of the Society of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Professional Society.
