Korenek joined the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in spring
2013 as Vice President for Contracting Strategies. She plays a pivotal
role in directing UTMB’s contracting and reimbursement strategies with
government, commercial and other third party payors.
Prior to joining UTMB, Becky co-founded KV Resources of
Houston, where she served as principal beginning in 2002. The company
specialized in managed care and revenue enhancement consulting services
for health care providers. Previously, Becky was a vice president at
Methodist Health Care System, where she helped establish a managed care
initiative for the comprehensive tertiary medical center.
Becky earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from
Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in health care
administration and business administration from the University of
Houston Clear Lake. She is a Senior Fellow with the American Leadership
Forum of Houston and has authored articles for the Houston Business Journal and Medical Group Management Association.
During this exciting era of revitalization and growth at
UTMB, Becky appreciates the interest of community supporters in the
institution’s role in improving health for the people of Texas and
around the world.
