—Earth Day is April 22 of every year. This year will mark 50 years of Earth Day.

Earth Day is a unified response to environmental issues or crises that affect our world.  This event is credited to be the planet’s most significant civic event.  Part of Earth Day’s mission is to diversify, educate, and activate the environmental movement worldwide.

The UTMB Health Sustainability Department has a rich history of celebrating its accomplishments during the annual Earth Day event on campus. UTMB Health is dedicated to conserving and preserving our environment. Employees from across campus and the neighboring community are invited to our Earth Day Celebration at the Mary Moody Medical Library Plaza to participate in various activities and to learn how they can support UTMB's extensive sustainable efforts.

Join in the celebration! Students in grades K-12 are invited to submit artwork that reflects UTMB’s 2020 Annual Earth Day event theme – “Dream Green.”  All artwork submitted is showcased during the event.  The winning entry will be the design for the 2020 t-shirt and used to promote the event on the UTMB website. They will present awards at the event for first, second, and third place, as well as honorable mentions.
