Leah Low, MD
Assistant Professor Associate
Dr. Leah Low is Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and serves a both the Medical Director of Care Management and the Patient Placement Center. She has an extensive background in leadership and quality improvement for the institution. She has served as Medical Director of several of the inpatient units, Team Leader over a group of faculty, Co-Chair of quality Improvement for the Department of Internal Medicine, and as an Associate Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program. She is a graduate of our Scholars in Education course, our Clinical Safety and Effectiveness course, and the Physician Leadership Academy.
Her educational background includes a BA in both Chemistry and Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2002 and an MD degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas in 2006. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine in 2009, also at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.
Currently, she works as both a Hospitalist in Jennie Sealy Hospital, and as an ambulatory physician at our Primary Care Pavilion.
