Brief Bio

Beth Cammarn is the Sr. Administrative Manager for the Division of Rehabilitation Sciences and Administrator of the Center for Recovery, Physical Activity and Nutrition. She has nearly 20 years of experience in academic and research administration and has been with the Division since its inception in 2001. Ms. Cammarn provides overall administration for the Division and Center, and coordinates a multitude of activities including grants development/management, recruitment of faculty, staff, students, and fellows, a seed grant program, and a seminar series. She manages several major programs including PhD and postdoctoral training, junior faculty career development, and a program focused on large database research and data archiving. In addition, she serves as the Research Administrator for the School of Health Professions, coordinating all grants and research efforts for the school.

Beth is a Certified Research Administrator, received from the Research Administrators Certification Council in 2013. She has served on several committees at UTMB and also served as Chair of the School of Health Professions Staff Assembly. Beth is a member of the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) and the Society of Research Administrators International (SRA). Previous service with NCURA includes the Region V Executive Committee, Region V Publications Committee, and several program committees for regional meetings.
