Dr. Ward Appointed Director of Master of Science in Health Professions

Dr Frank Ward, EdD, MSA, PA, Associate Professor in the Department of Nutrition, Metabolism, and Rehabilitation Sciences has been appointed as the new program director for the Master of Science in Health Professions. This program is an advanced degree, online program, that opens opportunities for leadership as healthcare managers or executives within their organizations. Our degree allows individuals with Bachelor's degrees in the arts or sciences to expand their field of study into exciting and fulfilling healthcare careers. Dr. Ward received his EdD in Higher Education Administration from George Washington University, his MSA in Management/ Administration from Central Michigan University, and his BS in Medical Science from the University of Nebraska. Dr. Ward has a clinical background having practiced as a physician assistant, an administrative background as a hospital administrator, and has been involved in higher education for the last 20 years. Dr. Ward is retired from the United States Navy and had numerous duty stations in the United States and abroad. During his career, Dr. Ward worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, clinics, professional and education training commands, and completed his career at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. The MSHP has experienced several years of excellent program growth and innovation through the strong leadership from Dr. Soham Al Snih, who will continue to focus efforts and further development and growth of the PhD in Rehabilitation Program within the UTMB Graduate School.
