The office of Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP), in order to allow investigators time to plan and develop ideas for submission has announced the following anticipated funding opportunities:

Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Research Program (TSCRP)

Supports innovative, high-impact TSC research through three (3) grant opportunities:

Exploration - Hypothesis Development Award
Investigators at or above postdoctoral fellow (or equivalent).
Maximum funding:  $150,000 for direct costs (plus indirect costs) for two (2) years.

Idea Development Award
Established Investigators:
Independent investigators at or above the level of Assistant Professor (or equivalent);
-or-
New Investigators:   
Independent investigator at or below the level of Assistant Professor (or equivalent);
-or-
Established independent investigator in an area other than TSC at or above the level of Assistant Professor seeking to transition to a career in TSC, thereby bringing his/her expertise to the field.
Maximum funding: $450,000 for direct costs (plus indirect costs) for three (3) years

Clinical Translational Research Award
Independent investigators at or above the level of Assistant Professor (or equivalent).
Maximum funding: $600,000 for direct costs (plus indirect costs) for three (3) years

Military Burn Research Program

Supports a broad research portfolio in the treatment of burns and the trauma associated with burn injuries sustained during combat or combat-related activities through the following activities:

Idea Development Award
Independent investigators at all academic levels (or equivalent) may be named as PI in the application.
Maximum funding:  $500,000 for total costs (direct costs plus indirect costs) for three (3) years.

Clinical Translational Research Award
Independent investigators at all academic levels (or equivalent) may be named as PI in the application.
Maximum funding:  $1.55 million (M) for total costs (direct costs plus indirect costs)

Ovarian Cancer Research Program

Supports patient-centered research to prevent, detect, treat, and cure ovarian cancer to enhance the health and well-being of Service members, Veterans, retirees, their family members, and all women impacted by this disease through the following activities:

Clinical Development Award
Must be an independent investigator at or above the level of Assistant Professor (or equivalent).
Maximum funding: $600,000 for direct costs (plus indirect costs) with an Early Career Investigator option of $800,000 for direct costs (plus indirect costs) for three (3) years.

Investigator-Initiated Research Award
Must be an independent investigator at or above the level of Assistant Professor (or equivalent).
Maximum funding:  $450,000 for direct costs (plus indirect costs) for three (3) years.

Ovarian Cancer Academy Award - Early-Career Investigator
Must be an independent investigator at or above the level of Assistant Professor (or equivalent)
Maximum funding:  $450,000 for direct costs (plus indirect costs) for three (3) years.

Ovarian Cancer Academy Dean Award*
Dean must be an established ovarian cancer researcher. 
Embedded Assistant Dean must be an independent ovarian cancer research at a different institution from the Dean.
Maximum funding:  $1,750,000 in direct costs (plus indirect costs) for four (4) years.
* Dean and Assistant Dean are expected to be partners in leading the Academy, and the direct cost funding should be divided accordingly.

Pilot Award
Investigators at or above the postdoctoral level (or equivalent).
Maximum funding:  $250,000 for direct costs (plus indirect costs) for two (2) years.
