Information Services has acquired a new VPN that can accommodate up to 10,000 connections. The new Cisco AnyConnect Virtual Private Network will gradually replace Pulse Secure, and is now available to UTMB employees using Windows or MacOS computers.

The client software has been pushed out to any UTMB Windows computers connected to the network. On these computers, one just needs to locate the AnyConnect Client application in the Start menu and launch it. See these instructions for more information.

If your UTMB Windows computer is now off-network, or you are using a personal device, these step-by-step instructions should guide you through the client installation process, although you will need to be an administrator on the computer.

Please note that AnyConnect integrates with the Duo multifactor authentication application, and requires that you accept a push notification sent to your mobile device before login can take place.

Please contact the IS Service Desk at (409) 772-5200 or (888) 898-2401 for assistance with the VPN client installation.
