Career Awards at the Scientific Interface
Deadline:  September 6, 2017

The Career Awards at the Scientific Interface (CASI) provide $500,000 over five years to bridge advanced postdoctoral training and the early years of faculty service. These awards are intended to foster the early career development of researchers with backgrounds in the physical/mathematical/computational/engineering sciences whose work addresses biological questions. 

Physician-Scientist Institutional Program
Deadline:  September 28, 2017

This is a five-month planning grant (up to $30,000) to focus on developing a full proposal for submission to the Burroughs Wellcome Fund to create programs to increase the number M.D.’s who enter careers in research. 

Career Awards for Medical Scientists
Deadline: October 3, 2017

The Career Awards for Medical Scientists provide $700,000 over five years for physician-scientists to bridge advanced postdoctoral/fellowship training and the early years of faculty service. This award addresses the on-going problem of increasing the number of physician scientists and will help facilitate the transition to a career in research.
