FY 18 Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs Pre-Announcements

The Department of Defense notified the research community of recently released pre-announcements for programs managed by the Department of Defense (DOD) office of Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) https://cdmrp.army.mil/pubs/press/press.shtml to allow investigators time to plan and develop ideas for submission to the anticipated FY18 funding opportunities.

FY18 funding opportunities are anticipated for the following programs:

Autism Research Program

· Clinical Trial Award

· Clinical Translational Research Award

· Idea Development Award

Neurofibromatosis Research Program

· Clinical Trial Award

· Early Investigator Research Award (New for FY18)

· Exploration - Hypothesis Development Award

· Investigator-Initiated Research Award

· New Investigator Award

Peer Reviewed Cancer Research Program

· Idea Award with Special Focus

· Career Development Award

· Translational Team Science Award

· Impact Award

Prostate Cancer Research Program

· Idea Development Award

· Impact Award

· Health Disparity Research Award

· Health Disparity Scholar Award

· Early Investigator Research Award

· Physician Research Award

Descriptions of each of the anticipated funding opportunities, eligibility, key mechanism elements, and funding can be found in the respective Program pre-announcement. FY18 pre-announcements can be found in the CDMRP home page features at https://cdmrp.army.mil.
