From the NIH Facebook page:
NIH_OverviewDid you know that the National Institutes of Health is the largest biomedical research agency in the world? With an annual budget of $37.3B and comprised of 27 Institutes and Centers, each with their own research agenda, we bet there’s a lot you don’t know about us. We want to change that. At NIH, your tax dollars are working for you to better your health. If you’ve gone to a doctor, chances are that you’ve benefited from #NIH research. NIH also has a lot of health information and resources to aide you and your family as you try to stay healthy or when facing a health issue. Over the next 8 months, each NIH Institute and Center, as well as some offices, will get a week on the NIH Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts to share their resources with you. This takeover series will use #ThisIsNIH. Follow along to learn more about us, and what resources are right at your fingertips. This week: a quick overview of NIH.

#ThisIsNIH  is a wonderful way to share your NIH funded research through social media.  Become part of the big picture.  Choose the week/month that the Center or Institute funding your research is the focus and share using Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and tagging it with this hashtag and including  your Influuent - UTMB Health Experts Network link.
