And while a link to your Research Experts profile will almost always appear in the top 5 search results on Google, Direct views (typing website URL into a browser) and Referral views (from a link listed in a publication or news article) are increasing.  Visits remain steady throughout the work week with only a slight decrease on the weekends.

What does this mean to you as a researcher?

It means that people are using UTMB Research Experts to look for you and links to your publications, projects and grants.  Viewers include sponsors, news media, collaborators and others. While the majority of traffic is generated from US users (62%), other users in the top ten include:  United Kingdom, India, Canada, China, Brazil and Germany.

How can you make your profile work better for you?

Be Seen     In Research Experts, you have the ability to add a photo.  This allows possible funders or collaborators to see with whom they are working.

Show your Stuff     You can now add your education and training so that it will appear on your profile.

Celebrate your Success    You can also link publications to grants, making it easy to see at-a-glance the output generated by a single grant.  Other options also include a timeline where all your output is listed with your funding.

Promote the Tool   By placing the URL included on your Experts profile in your email signature, on your department webpage and anywhere your name appears, you will be able to promote your research output.  This can include publications, datasets and more.
