Join the PCORI Annual Meeting, October
26-27, as patients, clinicians, researchers, and
health system representatives combine their unique perspectives to discuss
strategies and approaches for making health equity a reality.
Programming
includes a dynamic plenary session October 26 on advancing health equity
through community partnerships, as well as a session the following day
examining the inequitable toll of the COVID-19 pandemic and the efforts to
respond.

Thursday, October 27, conversations center on lived experiences and personal
reflections of health equity during the session: Achieving Health
Equity: How Can Comparative Clinical Effectiveness Research Help Address
Structural Discrimination?
This
powerful and engaging session includes Patrick Gee, PhD, who will share his story as
a patient with chronic kidney disease who confronted bias throughout his
personal journey to receiving a kidney transplant.
