STEP-HI (Starting a Testosterone and Exercise Program after Hip Injury)

Starting a Testosterone and Exercise Program after Hip Injury (STEP-HI) is testing several strategies that may improve muscle strength, balance, walking ability, and quality of life in older women with a recent hip fracture.

Strategies being tested include resistance exercise (with weights) and hormone therapy with topical testosterone.

You may be eligible if you are a woman aged 65 years and older with a fractured hip within the last 5 months.
