The School of Public and Population Health and Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences will host a joint Commencement at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024, in William C. Levin Hall Main Auditorium on the UTMB campus. The UTMB community is invited to join us, either in person or via livestream, for this wonderful celebration of our students and their remarkable achievements. At this time tickets are not required.   1. Introduction to Linear Models - Dates: August 29, 2023 - September 28, 2023
  2. Categorical Data Analysis - Dates: October 3, 2023 - November 2, 2023
  3. Survival Analysis - Dates: November 7-16, 2023 & November 28, 2023 - December 14, 2023
  4. Machine Learning - Dates: January 9, 2024 - February 8, 2024
  5. Introduction to Big Data Visual Analytics - Dates: February 13, 2024 - March 7, 2024 & March 19-21, 2024
  6. Introduction to Biomedical Informatics - Dates: March 26, 2024 - April 25, 2024

Course Details:

Each course comprises 10 comprehensive lectures, equipping you with the necessary skills for success.

Certification and Fees:

Participants will not receive formal credit hours from SPPH. Instead, they will receive a certification on completion of biostatistics & data science - short course series, if they obtain a satisfactory grade for all of six short courses. The total fee for this transformative course is $2,400 ($1,200 per semester).
