The Gulf Coast Center for Precision Environmental Health (GC-CPEH) is pleased to announce the availability of Pilot Project funding. Please see below or attached RFA for important information regarding this announcement and forward this announcement
and attached RFA to your colleagues who may be interested in applying.
GC-CPEH Round 6 Pilot Projects Funding Period: April 1, 2023 – March 31, 2024
Electronic Letter of Intent Package Due: no later than 5pm, November 22, 2022 to Tracie Prestigomo at tapresti@UTMB.EDU
The GC-CPEH Pilot Projects are designed to promote precision environmental health research at the intersection of genetics/epigenetics, environmental health, and data science to understand individual and place-based determinants
of disease risk. This
includes the impact of climate change on human environmental health,
and proposals focused on this area of research are especially
encouraged. Pilot Projects will be funded for 1 year, with budgets commensurate with the scope of work but not to exceed $40,000.
Who can apply? This RFA is open to all investigators from the GC-CPEH supporting Institutions (BCM, UTHealth Houston, and UTMB) who are eligible for Principal Investigator status on federal research grants. GC-CPEH Full member privileges
will be extended to non-Center members who receive Pilot Project funding, including subsidies during the funding period through the GC-CPEH Matching Funds Core Utilization Program for
use of Center-sponsored Facility Cores (PIPELINE FC and IHSFC).
How to apply? You should submit an Electronic Letter of Intent (LOI) Package to Ms. Tracie Prestigomo at tapresti@UTMB.EDU no later than 5:00 PM on November 22, 2022. The LOI Package must include a cover letter, a one-page summary of the research objectives (Background and Specific Aims) and PI NIH Biosketch.
