Applications & Interview Information

Please Refer to ERAS website (link below) and SAU website for important updated regarding the application, interview and match timelines for the upcoming cycle.

Residency positions for the Urology Residency Program are matched via the American Urological Association (AUA) Matching Program.

We accept applications through the AAMC ERAS electronic residency application system. Programs participating in ERAS accept only those application materials sent electronically through ERAS. We will not accept any additional supporting documents by mail. Please contact ERAS at https://www.aamc.org/students/medstudents/eras/residency/.

Requirements and Deadline
Paper applications are not accepted. The following items must be included with ERAS applications to be considered complete:
• Personal statement
• Curriculum vitae
• Transcript from medical school
• Letter from the Dean of the School of Medicine (MSPE)
• National test scores (USMLE/COMLEX)
• Three letters of recommendation from faculty members

Selection of Interview Candidates
Each application is reviewed in its entirety with an eye toward a combination of overall academic excellence, leadership ability, career development potential and personal character. We interview approximately 35-40 candidates for the urology program each year. Although we receive applications from many well-qualified candidates, it is not possible to interview all who apply. Candidates will be notified on Friday, October 22, 2021, as to their interview status, per SAU requirements.
