Getting an Informal Estimate for Your Care

MyChart Patient Estimate Tool – (No log-in required)

The MyChart Patient Estimate Tool is an easy-to-use online resource to assist patients with obtaining a self-generated cost estimate based on insurance availability, coverage and benefit plan. The MyChart tool provides information on several hundred of the most frequently performed services and procedures provided at UTMB.

  • If you are unable to locate an option for the procedure you are interested in within the MyChart tool, please Email the Patient Estimates team: patientestimates@utmb.edu
  • In order to enhance the accuracy and ensure the estimate is for the appropriate treatment or procedure, please provide the exact procedure code (CPT) and the diagnosis code (ICD-10) for the services that are of interest.
  • This information can be provided to you by your physician or clinic.

Additional Information Regarding Your Informal Estimate:

  • The informal estimate is not a final or formal estimate and will not be added to your MyChart account.
  • Once information is provided, you will receive a response within 2-3 business days.
  • While the quoted prices are current prices, if you are insured, it is recommended that you call your insurance company for your contracted rates and benefits.
  • Please keep in mind that communications via email over the internet are not always secure. Although it is unlikely, there is a possibility that information you include in an email can be intercepted and ready by other parties besides the person to whom it is intended or addressed.
