What is Siteimprove?

UTMB has invested in a web governance tool that scans most of UTMB Health’sweb sites, looking for broken links, misspelled words and accessibility issues. The tool has been piloted and is ready for expanded use; it is available at no cost to UTMB departments and areas. The tool runs weekly and generates static reports, or users may access an online dashboard specific to their site(s).

quality-assurance

Never miss a misspelling or broken link again.

A broken link or misspelling can have a devastating effect on a visitor’s experience with a website, and therefore the image of the organization behind the website. Siteimprove Quality Assurance provides you with the tools to identify, locate and prioritize the repair of broken links and misspellings needed to protect your website’s credibility.

content-policy

Ensure all website policies are being upheld.

Siteimprove’s Content Policy tracks customized policies for words and phrases, flagging incorrect usage. This enables website managers to set branding policies and enforce them across the entire website without lifting a finger. Once the policies are set, automated website checks catch issues and present them to the responsible editors, along with an overview to the website manager. Content Policy is especially useful for updating large websites after a change, such as an organization changing its name or tagline, or the addition or removal of important contacts.

accessibility

An accessible website minus the confusion.

Web Accessibility is about allowing people with and without disabilities to have access to the information they want and need from your website. With reports of 1 in 5 people in North America claiming some sort of disability, 20% of the population is just too large of a group to ignore. Siteimprove Accessibility gives you a complete overview of your site’s web accessibility issues, plus clear explanations of how they affect your users, and specific recommendations on how to fix them.
