Colon cancer growth stopped by blocking enzyme

Scientist Live, Sept. 30, 2006 Researchers at UTMB have been able to shut down a toxic network of biochemical signals that promote colon cancer cell growth in mice by stopping the activity of a single enzyme called aldose reductase.
