Don’t send sick kids to school

Galveston Daily News, Nov. 8, 2006 By Sally Robinson and Keith Bly Most children get sick at some point during the school year. In fact, the average school-age child gets about six to nine common colds per year. As a result, many parents sometimes send their children to school sick, increasing the chances that other children will catch what they have. But it is extremely important to keep children home if they are sick.
