Woman whose parents died in refinery blast settles suit vs. BP

GALVESTON, Texas — BP PLC settled yesterday the final death-related lawsuit from a Texas City refinery blast that killed 15, wounded 170, and brought accusations of lax management at the oil company.  The donations, which could total $38 million, include the adult burn unit at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, which will get $12.5 million. Read article
