Galveston County Daily News, Nov. 12, 2006Letter to the Editor Eva Rowe, 22, whose parents were killed in an explosion at BP’s refinery in Texas City, agreed to settle a lawsuit against the company. The settlement required the company to donate more than $32 million to hospitals and schools and also required the company to release to the public some documents on safety at the plants. The news of Eva Rowe’s settlement with BP was music to my ears. I am a nursing student and have frequently worked the Blocker Burn Unit as a patient care technician. I worked there the night of the Texas City explosion. - Justin Wright
